Dave Kalama
A big wave and SUP icon, Dave began his film career by appearing as himself in Biggest Wednesday: Condition Black in 2000. He has also appeared as himself in Step Into Liquid and Inside ‘Die Another Day’ in 2003 along with Riding Giants and The Ride/The Day in 2004. In 2008 he was in the documentary Water Man and in 2011 the documentary That First Glide.
Jamie Mitchell
Jamie is the 10-time Molokai to Oahu World Champion. He was also nominated for the 2008 XXL Global big wave awards for the biggest paddle in wave. He was born in Currumbin on the Gold Coast of Australia.
Chuck Patterson
Chuck is one of the most respected “watermen” on the planet. He appeared in Billabong Odyssey in 2003 as himself. He has mastered stand up paddling, skiing, surfing, snowboarding, kiteboarding and windsurfing. He was born in San Leandro, California and spent the majority of his childhood in Germany. Today Chuck is considered a pioneer in the SUP world and can also list shark hunter and big wave skier on his resume. He has 7 years of experience in SUP and over 70 victories in SUP racing and surfing.
Connor Baxter
Connor is the next “Michael Jordan” of SUP. At 16 years old he holds the world record time in the Molokai to Oahu stand up paddle world championship. Before H2indO, he appeared in Kids Who Rip in 2005 and Kids Who Rip, Volume 3 in 2006.
Dave Boehne
Dave is one of the most stylized stand up paddlers in the world. He also brings his design and creative direction skills to Infinity Surfboards, where he is a business partner with his brother.
Slater Trout
Slater is the only racer under 18 that has been invited to compete in the Gerry Lopez Rainbow Sandal Battle of the Paddle, Elite Division. The Maui local is known within the industry as the future of stand up paddling, a true ambassador and a positive representation of the sport.
Talia Gangini
Talia was born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands. In 2007, she became the youngest women to ever paddle the 32-mile Molokai to Oahu paddleboard race. Her long-term goal is to carry on the Polynesian tradition of paddling and becoming the best water women to beat.

Brent Deal – Director
Brent has been directing television commercials for 15 years. H2indO is his first feature film. He was born and raised in San Francisco and attended classes at Loyola Marymount University, graduating in 1991. He got used to surfing without sharks in the water and without a wetsuit in Southern California. He began his career as a camera assistant, progressing to director of photography working on feature films and commercials for Ridley and Tony Scott. He started directing 15 years ago and has done over 100 National commercials for clients including Nike, ESPN, PGA of America, AT&T and Zing toys. When the opportunity to direct H2indO feel into his lap he jumped at the chance and is incredibly proud of what was accomplished in H2indO.

Jason Kenworthy – Photographer
Great photographers are made of their capacity for seeing images in moments, and throughout his life, Jason Kenworthy has been a seer. His ability to filter out the periphery and distill an experience to what is raw and genuine is a reflection of his own personality – authentic, sincere, void of bullshit. And so he has earned recognition as the most talented young photographer presently working in surfing, earning praise and respect from a gallery of tough critics.

Elyse Lewin – Executive Producer
Elyse Lewin began her professional career as an Advertising and Editorial Still Photographer. In the 1990′s, Lewin moved into directing commercials. Fluent in English and Spanish, her storytelling abilities soon became known internationally. She has shot commercials in the United States, Philippines, Italy, South Africa, Mexico, Turkey, Greece, Russia, Canada and Ireland. She has directed over 250 commercials for international brands including Chrysler, Pampers, Cheerios, McDonalds, Huggies, & Mattel.
Her work has earned recognition from the L.A. Women in Advertising (Lulus), the Communications Arts Award Of Excellence, Gold Addys, Belding Awards, Ceba Award of Excellence and the New York Art Directors Club’s One Show.
Two years ago, Lewin accepted the challenge of directing an Independent Feature Film with a different subject matter than anything she had ever been involved with before. This film was BOROUGH OF KINGS. A hard bitten story of love, friendship, murder and redemption, the film was accepted into the Santa Monica Film Festival where it took the top prize, the Special Jury Selection for Best Picture. It was immediately picked up for distribution by Lion’s Gate Films.
A full member of the Directors Guild of America, Elyse has recently produced a documentary on Stand Up Paddle Surfing in Indonesia starring 7 of the top surfers in the world. It’s world premiere will be at the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 29, 2012.

Chuck Patterson – Executive Producer
Currently residing in San Clemente, Chuck mentors young up and coming athletes and helps others come just as fit as he is (without having to paddle halfway across the Pacific Ocean) by providing “one on one sport specific training & fitness programs as well as motivation speaking engagements. Check returns the good karma by working with special needs kids and cancer patients through Best Day Foundation, John Wayne Cancer Foundation, and Miracles for Kids.
